Mark.... is there any way you can get her to come "help" you give Ranger or Evan their fluids so she "gets the swing of it" even if it only means watching as you explain???? That might make her feel more comfortable when the time comes that she has to do it. Also, you can certainly let her know what signs to look for.... maybe type out a list for her to put on her fridge so she won't forget since several weeks or months may pass before she the symptoms start to appear. The sooner she notices, the better off Colby will be, but I know you know that.

I hope Colby does well.

She is frightened by the thought of giving fluids. That is understandable. I think, when that day comes, she will do fine.

It was the opposite for me! I was all set to do it, with no fear, until I started to stick Galen and he cried out. Then I got so scared I couldn't do it. I was trembling even! So Jim did it then and thereafter.

As far CRF, Galen is doing very well. But, he had been overgrooming and his stomach and the inside of the thighs, leaving them balding. Though, now his downy undercoat is covering the areas, so perhaps he is done with the overgrooming. I think it was due to the fleas we had in Dec. and then maybe stress from us bringing in two new cats in Dec. I hope it due to fleas, since I can help that easily.

Oh that's good Margaret. I was thinking about him just the other day.... Sparky too has that downy fur growing in where he had been overgrooming on the insides of his hind legs.
