Mark - you can order Precise brand food from PetfoodDirect and it will come right to your house.... In view of the ridiculously fast rising gas prices, I think that would be cheaper for you than driving to Canada, wouldn't it?
I'm not sure I like the response Precise gave when asked if their foods were made my menu foods.... sounds like they are hiding something and that leads me to believe they ARE made by menu foods.... I only feed their fish type foods and beef (pate style) though.... In the Wellness I feed the chicken and turkey stuff (also all pate style). Hm.... I will have to see if there is any reaction to the Precise Beef....it's scheduled for Saturdays' feeding. I just bought that for the first time in February and it will be the first time I feed it to them. _________________ Michelle

From the Wellness site:
| Quote: | To Our Pet Parents, Retailers and Partners,
As you may already know, Wellness brand pet food was NOT involved in the recent Menu Foods "cuts and gravy" product recall.
Consistent with our mission of providing uncompromising nutrition for dogs and cats, Wellness is committed to healthy, high-quality and natural pet food ingredients and recipes. Our products, for example, do not contain wheat, corn or soy or any artificial preservatives, flavors or colors.
Our pets are part of our families. While Wellness brand pet food was not affected, we express our sympathies to the animals, and their pet parents, who have suffered as a result of this unfortunate event.
As always, if you have any questions, we are happy to help and would love to hear from you. You can reach us at 1-800-225-0904.

As for Precise, this link to their web page says they are not affected by the recall.....

Mother Hubbard was also not affected, btw, in case anyone is feeding that.
I could not find any info on the Eagle Pack site.
Maria - here is the link to Nutro regarding the recall... in this write up is a link to the list fo foods they recommend you discontinue feeding immediately. The food that Molly and Jeremy like is NOT on this list and should be fine to feed them.

This is the link to the list if you want to bypass the letter:

Yes - however, because I wanted to know why they weren't on the list since they were about the only cuts & gravy that didn't make the list, I called and finally got someone. See the post in the thread above.
Thanks Michelle.......

Hi Michelle:
I work right on the Canadian border. In fact, my office is less than one mile from the border and the third largest border crossing is within two miles of my office.
I don't want to get a whole case of Precise - since, right now, I'm not sure if everyone will eat it. I would rather sepnd ome time and money and get a few cans and see if everyone will eat it before I invest in a whole case.

Our canned foods are NOT involved in the Menu Foods recall. All of our products are safe and we will continue to take every measure to ensure their safety. Eagle Pack products are 100% guaranteed. |
As it is, the only Eagle Pack my guys will eat is the Salmon and Shrimp.
