Hay Sparky, Galen, Seamus, Jeremy, Molly and everykitty.

My brothers and sisters and me played a big trick on daddy last week. It was so funny that I gotta tell y’all.

First, daddy goes to the daddy vet and the daddy vet tolded daddy that he had to ex-er-size more so daddy’s heart would go faster. Well, we knowed how to make daddy’s heart go faster with no ex-er-size. We know we can make daddy’s heart go faster by playing a tricks on daddy.

So, we play lots of tricks on daddy. First, Evan, and he never played tricks on daddy, plays Hide and Make Daddy go Seek. Now, Evan always sleeps in daddy’s bed in the day when daddy goes and hunts beans. So, when daddy comes home from hunting beans…why don’t I ever seen any beans when daddy goes and hunts them. He goes all the time to hunt and hunt and hunt ‘cause he says we need lots of beans, but I never did saw any beans. Anyway, Evan goes and hides from daddy afore daddy comed home from hunting beans. So, Daddy goes and can’t find Evan.

So, daddy is asking me and Dusty and Little Bit and Fluffy and the dawg where is Evan. We don’t tell daddy cause we is all playing a trick on him.

So, daddy goes and gets the shiny thing to hunt for Evan. Daddy turned on the shiney thing and the bright round thingie comes out. Now, Little Bit, to ‘stract daddy, he jumps on the bright round thingie so daddy can’t use it to find Evan. Daddy maked the bright round thingie find Evan, but Little Bit jumps on it so daddy can’t finded Evan.

So, Daddy tried to go and get another shiney thing and give the first one to Little Bit to play. When daddy goed to the kitchen, Gracie tries to ‘stract daddy by jumping on him with her chewie tot. Gracie is a dawg and I never learned that dawgs played tricks on daddy like kitties. Gracie may be a good kitty dog one day cause she helped up play the tricks on daddy.

So, daddy played with Gracie for a while and then went to hunt Evan again. I goes with him to help finds Evan. I jump at the round shinie thing like Little Bit cause I is trying to ‘stract daddy, too.

Now, Little Bit, he makes a really stinky poo poo in the box and he don’ted buried it. Daddy told Little Bit it was really stinky and daddy goes to get the shovel to take care of Little Bit’s stinkie poo poo. Little Bit thinks stinky poo poo is funny.

Now, Dusty and Fluffy goed zoom zoom in the house. Theyed runned really fast all over the place to ‘stract daddy. Now it be 15 minutes and daddy don’ted finded Evan yet. Daddy heart goed really fast, too.

Well, Evan thinked daddy had enough. We don’t want daddy’s heart to go too fast, cause he is our daddy, so Evan comed down from upstairs. Daddy looked at Evan and asked Evan what he was doing and Evan said that he was taking a nap. We knowed that Evan was fibbing cause he was playing a tricks on daddy with us.

Anyway, daddy said we all played a good tricks on him and he gaves us our dinner. We got chicken and herring, too. Yumm. If I get chicken and herring I is going to play more tricks on daddy.

Great job helpin your daddy like that. He must know you really love him to be so concerned for his health. Tell the other's I said "way to go" too since everybody was helpin.

I think I'm gonna get to be really bad too....mommy's squirt gun isn't workin good no more. She pumps it and pumps it (it's a super soaker) and then it just fizzes..... I was watchin her do it and I ain't afraid no more. I don't even runned away when she starts pumpin it cause I used to.

Well.... I have to go whine at the door to the basement now and upset mommy cause daddy is sleepin. See ya!

Hey there, Mr. Pippin........Jeremy and Molly here!

Hey, thanks for all the tips on how to play tricks. It's me Jeremy writing for both of us.

Mommy played a trick on Molly last night, but Mommy seemed upset this morning. She must have forgot she left Molly in the bedroom closet all night 'cause she was calling and calling for her.........and her heart was beating very fast. Then she opened the big white doors.....and Molly ran out.

I was glad to hear that you guys all play tricks.......and how to play them. But Mommy has one up on us. We can't lock her up. I wonder why she did that. But afterwards Molly got all kinds of hugs and kisses and then we both got treats.

Maybe I'll get to stay in the closet tonight. I would be very very happy because our toys are in there. I like to eat the ribbons on the toys that Mommy locks up, but Molly doesn't eat them. She doesn't know what she is missing. I try to get in that white closet all the time to eat the toys, but Mommy never lets me in. I wonder why Molly got to go in.

I think you guys did a great job playing tricks on your daddy. He must have been very very happy. I hope you do these things again some day. If I find out how to lock Mommy in the white closet, I'll tell you so you can do that too.

We're kind of laying low on the tricks business for a while since Daddy has been waving a fly swatter at us when we do fun things like make Snookums scream when get her corned up on top of the cupboards. He doesn't think it is funny.

We saw what happened to those two wasps that got in the house the other day with that fly swatter- SPLAT! So when we see the fly swatter waving around, we leave Snookums alone. For a few minutes, anyway.

Seamus, New Top Cat

Congratulations Seamus! You are one cool cat. I remember when you were just a tiny kitty and we saw lots of pictures of you. Your friend Simon groomed you all these months to be Top Cat.........so with that background, you will do great.

Wow! A fly swatter. We don't have one of those. Molly and I are the fly swatters. We do a better job than a fly swatter 'cause we eat the flies so no one has to scrape them up. Wasps and bees are different. Maybe we should get a fly swatter too.

Well, let us know how you're doing. I hope all the kitties will respect you in your new position. After all you earned it.

Hi Seamus!!! Sparky here.....just wanted to say congrats on the upgrade to top cat at your house. That must be really cool.... I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of Milo...he's the top cat around here.... got any ideas??? (Sorry that your big brother went to the bridge though....)

Sparky, you probably can overthrow Milo as Top Cat. He is getting old now, and you are young, sturdy and sprightly. I had gotten Simon to give me some respect. He would walk slowly and carefully past me sometimes, worried I might start something. Big change from when he used to give me the "hairy eyeball" and swat me. Of course, he still got crotchety if I disturbed him when he was trying to sleep. Those old dudes get like that. So I left him alone when he took his naps.

So, don't give up. I am sure you will be Top Cat sooner or later.

I think we should all be top cats. Since we are all black kitties, we can wear a top hat when we is top cats. We would look really snazzy!

Hey I is whisperin cause I don't wants nobody to know this but that boy Milo... He's a tough guy..... He makes me cry "Uncle" EVERY TIME I wrestle with him!!! I don't know how he can beat me up with him being so "old" and with all my muscles but he DOES!!! And he's so "cool" about it too, like I don't even ruffle his feathers!!! Gee.... I hope to grows up to be like him some day... he really is a BIG, brave cat. And he don't even have front claws!!! I don't think I'm gonna get to be a top cat for a long, long, long time. Don't tell nobody, K? I have an image to keep up.
