There is truly a theif among us here and I am not sure who it is. My gut tells me it's Peaches but I am not sure.

The last few days "someone" has been taking tissues and q-tips out of the bathroom wastebasket and distributing them between the bathroom and the living room. I solved that issue by placing the wastebasket "up" away from where "someone" could climb in there to retrieve things.

This morning I woke up to go to the bathroom and even in the dark, I noticed a "trail" of something going down the hallway and into the living room. I turned on a light and well.... I found a toothbrush, a tube of hand cream, a tube of face cream, a tube of toothpaste, my haircutting sissors (still in their protective plastic slip), a foot thingee that you use to scrape dead skin from your heels - that was even taken apart (I clean it after each use so it was clean), a comb and some pieces of toilet paper seemingly removed from the roll on the wall.

Everybody was sleeping very innocently, of course. I THINK it might be Peaches but then when I was in the bathroom, Milo came in and started pawing stuff.

You see....we have no cabinets in the bathroom (or the kitchen). All my bathroom paraphanailia (sp) is on top of a plastic storage bin (on top of a towel) that is placed between the toilet and the pedestal sink. Sometimes Milo will even lay on the lot of it. It's all stuff we use daily so there's no place else for me to put it.

Does anyone have any idea's how I can discourage the cat burglar among us?

Michelle:

OK. I’m laughing as I imagine Peaches carrying all of the stuff - and leaving you a trail to her lair.

Anyway, could spraying some bitter apple scent near your stuff deter her from living a life of crime?

Mark, are you kidding???? Peaches be detered by ANYTHING???? I highly doubt it. I suppose I could try it (have to go buy some) but with my luck she would like the stuff. I'm not so sure how Neil will feel about his toothbrush tasting like bitter apple either.... I didn't tell him about the trail I found - he has no sense of humor and he'd be disgusted about his toothbrush.

As "out of conciousness" as I was, I did find it amusing. I just don't want it to become a habit.

Guess I should go in search of some bitter apple stuff, huh?

BTW it COULD still be Milo too.... I'm really not sure.

Michelle,

They just want to keep you guessing - and have some fun. Razz
I think it's cute - but then, it's not in my house! Laughing

BTW, Jeremy likes Bitter Apple. When I sprayed it on our Christmas tree in the other house (the tree was bigger there), he would first lick it off the branch, then proceed to try and remove the pine needles.

Hm......Trilly-44-23 Someone is taunting me. Trilly-52-45 Trilly-70-12jeff_results[1]

I just got up to answer the phone and there in the hallway was one of my hair things...... it wasn't there a few minutes ago. I didn't put it there. And everyone is napping. Sparky is on the bed here in the computer room. Milo is in the living room sound asleep (snoring) on my ottoman, Muffin is on our bed and Peaches is in her "spot" up on the high shelf in our bedroom closet.

No....no, it's not one of the puppies....they know better than that and they don't play with mommy's "stuff". They actually don't play at all until they get outside and roll in the snow....ok, only Snowball does that. Casey is too overweight to want to play and they are both old too.... no. They wouldn't have done it. 75% of me says it's Peaches, 25% says it's Milo. Who ever it is, is awful darned sneaky.

Heh heh. I'm betting on Sparky.

Maybe you can get another plastic storage container to put your things in.

For some reason this is reminding me of dream I had. I used the cats' chicken flavored toothpaste instead of the toothpaste for humans. And it didn't taste bad! I won't really use it though.
