Hi Ron:
Sadie is adorable!
I’m glad she is with you, since I know she will get the very best of care as a member of your clan.
Have you started the integration process yet, or has she been in quarantine? How do you think she is?
It looks as if she is coming along nicely. From the pictures I do not see the infections in the eyes anymore (when I adopted Ranger, you could see the infection and drainage in his eyes for several days after the medicine was started). I still see a bit of roundness in the tummy on one of the pictures, but that may be normal “kitten fat”.
Congratulations on your new baby.

Thank you. She has met the group through her kennel, but I will not allow any actual contact for at least the next two weeks and probably another two weeks before I really try to integrate her. She is about 9 weeks old and I want her at least 11 - 12 weeks before I allow any real contact. My main kitten lover, Splash, also needs to recover. He dislocated a rear toe this past weekend and the vet said it needed to be amputated. He came through the surgery just fine, but needs time to get back to his old self.
She stopped draing about two days after I started her on gentamyacin drops. I like those much better than the salves. I think the eyes clear faster. _________________ Ron

Congratulations Ron. What a gorgeous baby kitty! Her face is so sweet. I don't know how anyone could give that sweet little baby up.
She looks healthy now.......and happy!

Hi Ron:
Amputation sounds a bit extreem for a dislocated toe. There must be something about the cat's toe that I do not understand if it needed to be removed for a dislocation.
I'm not questioning the vet or you - I'm just trying to learm more.

Thank you. I was surprised to find out there have been so many abandonned kittens so late in the year. Apparently the HS is full and the local vets all have several they are trying to find homes for. I always wonder what happened to the siblings. _________________ Ron

Thank you. She is healthy now. The vet was so pleased when I took her in for her first shots today. She had gained half a pound this week. _________________ Ron
