When you register you become a member just by registering, though you do need to check your email after registering and then click on the link in the email to activate your account.

Non-members can read posts in most sections, but cannot make posts or reply to posts. It is required to be logged in to be able to make posts.

Only Alpha Cats (moderators) can delete posts, but all registered users can edit their own posts.

The "Alpha Cats" user group is for moderators only. Moderators are invited by the Site Administrator. Do not try to join the "Alpha Cats" group unless you have been invited to do so. You won't wind up being an Alpha Cat unless made one by the Site Administrator.

Ranks

Under each user's name in a post, a rank is listed. The Site Administrator is ranked "Site Admin". The Site Administrator is Galensgranny, real name Margaret.

Moderators are "Alpha Cats". GG'sSimon is an Alpha Cat, who is really Galensgranny doing double duty as Site Administrator and Moderator. The other Alpha Cats are sumner (Jim), Maria, Rubygirl1968 (Stephanie), and kb2zct (Mark).

Registered User: 0-9 posts

Kitten: 10-49 posts

Curious Youth: 50-149 posts

Frisky Feline: 150-399 posts

Established Adult Cat: 400-999 posts

Dominant Cat: 1,000- 4,999 posts

Senior Cat: 5,000 and more posts
