I'm thinking things like: Fuzzy Butt, Fur Ball, etc. |

LOL, Margaret is right. FB got his name a long time ago when Randy met him. He was always a grouchy cat and very large. He bit Randy on the leg the very first time he met him and this love/hate relationship started. Randy shook him off and said get this Fat Bast#*d off of me. A few minutes later, FB screamed at Randy to feed him which Randy did, all the while calling him that. FB just seemed to respond and loved his new name. We call him FB when kids or company is around, but that cat lives to be called his real name by Randy. He also does his level best to live up to the name in any way he can. He sneaks out the door, he is lightening quick with those claws if anything should displease his Highness in any way and very vocal in anything he doesn't like. If he wants me or Randy to do something for him, he is not afraid to tell us ONCE, then claw us if we don't answer. But then again, he is learning to be a little love bug too. He cuddles more and more and just when we think of changing his name to LOVEBUG, he claws us for something and we need a blood transfusion! _________________ Cindy, Randy, and cats, FB and Minzi

Buttercup is so not the right name for FB! Maybe the first people thought he was a girl. A sweet tempered girl at that. _________________ Margaret, a/k/a Galensgranny |

Sorry to be hitting this thread late but I have a suggestion for when kids are around. Instead of saying what FB really stands for, tell them it stands for FULL BLAST.

My local Krogers has more good cat food! A premium quality brand!
Yesterday I found a new brand, called By Nature Organics. They have dry and canned. I bought a small bag of the dry. It has no wheat, no corn and no soy.
Here are the first several ingredients of the Chicken flavor:
| Quote: | | Organic Chicken, Chicken Meal, Organic Ground Barley, Organic Ground Oats, Organic Brown Rice, Fish Meal, Organic Chicken Hydrolysate, Organic Peas, Organic Flaxseed Meal, Natural Flavors, Chicken Fat (Stabilized with Mixed Tocopherols), Salt, Potassium Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Choline Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Zinc Proteinate, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Organic Dried Tomatoes, Organic Cranberries, Organic Carrots, Organic Kelp, Organic Spinach, Dried Chicory Root, Turmeric |
I see they sell the canned and dry on Pet Food Direct.com.
I am just so, so thrilled that a grocery store is finally selling some premium, top quality cat food.
Of course, being all organic with great ingredients, my cats didn't go for it- yet. Instead, overnight, they tore opened the not such high quality bag of Iam's I had bought with a $3.00 off coupon, that I had neglected to put up the cupboard.
Jim, Full Blast is a good new "child friendly" full name for FB. _________________ Margaret, a/k/a Galensgranny |

Oh yeah, my Krogers now also sells Halo Freeze Dried Chicken Treats. I must not let Galen know, since he had become addicted to them when I used to order them from Pet Food Direct. It was a very bad addiction too. It was all he wanted to eat!
I wonder if more grocery store chains are selling better cat foods. _________________ Margaret, a/k/a Galensgranny |

Margaret:
I have not seen any improvements in cat food in my local grocery store.
But, I'm so far off the net that I'm just happy to have a grocery store at all.
