OK – not for me. It is one of Jane’s clients.
They took in an abandoned 5-week-old kitten a few days ago. Apparently, this little boy kitty, named SPARKY (sounds as if he will be a trouble maker) and a sibling were found abandoned. A family took them in, but the family did not want Sparky because he hissed at one of them. As all cat experts KNOW, any 5-week-old kitten that hisses at a stranger will be a “mean” cat when he grows up.
So, they now have number 10. At least the kitty will have a good home and be loved and cared for, even if the number of cats in the household is a bit out of control (one of the females is spraying all the time now).
To help Sparky get off on the right foot, I brought over some KMR (tried for Evan, he would not drink it) as well as some Eagle Pack dry kitten and Eagle Pack wet. I was looking for some Wellness kitten, but was told that Wellness no longer makes it. Eagle Pack recommends its Holistic Select wet for kittens.
I’ll keep everyone update on Sparky, Jr. as I get more info. He is a dark gray / white tiger stripped cat. He is playful (I stopped in when I made my delivery) and quite a bit “fatter” than he was when he came in (as in, he is getting as much food as he wants to eat whenever he wants to eat it).
I don’t know if his mother was feral or not. After being in the house for three days or so, he does not have any fear of humans. One reason for that – the couple will take turns sleeping in the kitten’s room, and he will snuggle up into their hair.
